Corey and Tiffany's Story
Corey struggled with hearing loss for most of his life. He had been diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of 13. When the family puppy got ahold of his current hearing aids, they were not sure how they were going to be able to afford new hearing aids before Corey left for college next year. While Corey was walk taking a walk, he passed Miracle-Ear in Bloomsburg and decided to stop in and see what options he had. When Corey came in to get his hearing tested, his mother Tiffany, decided that she should get her hearing tested as well. She had been having difficulties communicating with her family and friends and was getting tired of having to ask everyone to repeat themselves. Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist Lesa, tested Tiffany confirmed the need for hearing aids but they quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids for both Corey and herself were out of her reach. Lesa suggested that they apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Both Tiffany and Corey were approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare. Corey and Tiffany are thrilled with their new hearing aids. Corey says he can hear his mother now will be able to sit anywhere he wants once he gets in the classroom. Tiffany is looking forward to enjoying conversations better with her husband as well as her favorite TV shows and music. Tiffany and Corey are very grateful for the help Lesa and the Miracle-Ear Foundation has given them with the Gift of Sound.
