Ron's Story
Ron, a local resident of Altoona, was getting frustrated that he could not hear his family and friends. Communicating with everyone was becoming exceedingly difficult for him. Ron was always asking his friends and family to repeat things to him and continued to miss out on conversations. His television was a lot louder than it used to be and he was having trouble understanding what was being said. That is when Ron decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear in Altoona, PA. During Ron's visit, he was tested by Miracle-Ear Hearing specialist Tony Giavedoni, who confirmed the need for hearing aids. Tony and Ron both quickly determined the cost of hearing aids were out of Ron's reach. Tony suggested that he apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation, and after doing so Ron was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids. Ron was not only given the gift of sound, but also free life-time aftercare. Ron is very elated with his new hearing aids. He is so excited to be able to hear his family and friends better. The TV volume is down, and he can finally understand what is being said. He is looking forward to enjoying life again without having to miss out.
